In 1989, when I was thirty years old I went back to school to get my Master’s Degree. At that time I had to commute a 90 mile roundtrip four days a week. I had to quit my job and take a part time position to have the time to go to school. I sold my house to pay my tuition. I was supporting a wife and two kids at the time and we struggled to get by. I didn’t have a choice then, but if I was going back to school today I would get my Master’s degree online from an online university.
Distance learning is a wonderful tool. It would have saved me valuable money, not having to commute every day. I would have saved hundreds of dollars back then, but think what the savings would be today with gas at $4 a gallon. Even with a car that gets 30 miles to the gallon, it would save $60 a week. Think of all the fun things you could do with an extra 60 dollars a week.
An online Master’s Degree would have saved precious time for family and friends and even allowed me to keep my full-time job. That would have made it a lot easier to pay for the extra schooling. A Distance Master’s Degree would also have allowed me to attend the online school of my choice. At the time, I really only had two schools to choose from because of where I lived.
Thinking of going back to school to get your Master’s Degree? It only makes sense to do it online with a distance learning program of your choice. Whatever your passion is, you can probably earn a Master’s Degree online in that field. The internet has done wonderful things for our society today and this is one of the best. A distance learning degree saves you time and money. Take advantage of it today.

Can You Really Get a Nursing Degree Online?
Many online degree schools offer nursing programs online, but can you really complete all the necessary requirements and become a Registered Nurse (RN) without ever going through clinical experiences or spending endless hours in a classroom?
The truth is, most of these online degree programs are designed for RNs who already have their license and have at least one year of professional experience. A few distance education programs, such as Excelsior College (formerly Regents College), once offered degree programs that led to nursing licensure. However, liability, experience, and competency issues have led this distance education online program, and every other, to discontinue entry-level nursing programs.
Therefore, most of the distance learning degree programs available allow RNs who have an Associate’s Degree to earn a Bachelor Degree online. Some also offer online graduate programs for nurses who already have a Bachelor’s Degree. Chamberlain College of Nursing and Jacksonville University both offer RN to BSN programs. (These are also known as BSN completion programs). Many other top online schools also offer RN to BSN programs; just search through the list of programs offered by the top distance degree programs listed on this website.
If you are like most nurses, you are busy trying to meet the demands of family and career. Finding time to go back to school can be extremely difficult. Online degree programs offer the flexibility to make this possible. Sharpen your skills, enhance your resume, and further your education by enrolling in a distance degree program today!

How can you tell if an Online Degree University is Genuine?
Convenience, flexibility, and time all affect your decision to return to college. Who wants to spend ten years driving back and forth to a college campus, working away at a degree one course at a time? Most people decide to return to college and get a degree to earn more money, or advance in their profession, not to become professional students.
All of these factors make distance learning degree programs very attractive. Unfortunately, however, unscrupulous distance learning degree programs offer fake degrees from diploma mills. How can you tell whether the degree is real or not? The best way to do this is to find out whether the college is regionally accredited.
Most reputable distance learning online programs display their accreditation credentials prominently on their websites. If an institution advertises accreditation, check with the database maintained by the United States Department of Education at http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/ . If your institution isn’t listed here, it probably isn’t accredited.
If you do find a college that claims to be accredited but is not, file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, or FTC. The FTC is actively working to educate employers and prospective students about the pitfalls of fake degree scams. To read more about this problem, visit their website: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/buspubs/diplomamills.shtm .
All of the colleges and universities featured on this website proudly advertise their accreditation. The goal of this site is to offer information about genuine degrees from accredited universities, to help people choose the career path that is right for them. Be smart, do your homework, and choose distance schools that are accredited. Get a degree that advances, rather than destroys, your future career!

Did you graduate from high school wanting to save the world? Do those dreams at times seem so distant that you wish you could recapture even a taste of the enthusiasm you had for helping people and making a difference in society? If those dreams aren’t too distant to be remembered, consider all that you can do with a public administration degree.
Public administration degrees enable graduates to manage public service organizations, such as governmental or public health agencies, or non-profit organizations. Although getting a traditional degree in this field isn’t as difficult for students who have just graduated from high school, many others are actively working in a career path related to one of these agencies. Attending school full-time while working full-time can be exhausting and stressful.
For this reason, many professional people who are interested in changing the direction of their careers prefer to work toward a distance learning degree instead. Because public administration degrees are less common than many other professional studies programs, finding a reputable university offering an online degree in this field may at first glance appear to be difficult. In reality, however, prospective administrators don’t have to look any further than DeVry University.
Employers throughout the United States recognize the quality of a DeVry online degree. This top online school offers classes in technology, health care technology, and management education, as well as business. Through DeVry, motivated students can earn a degree from home and study during the times most convenient for them.
If you still have a desire to change the world, or at least make it a little better, choose a college degree program that will help you further your goals. A distance education online program in public administration will help you take charge and become an agent of change. Get started now and earn a degree online!

Undergraduate and Graduate Accounting Degrees Online
Increasing numbers of people are enrolling in distance learning degree programs to advance their careers without taking time away from work to pursue an advanced education. Are these programs effective in assisting people to get better jobs after graduating from online graduate programs? Can students actually earn accounting degrees online and pass the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam?
These questions are easily answered with a resounding “Yes!” In fact, one online business accounting degree program recently ranked in the top ten nationally with regard to CPA exam pass rates. This emphasizes the educational commitment demonstrated by online degree university programs. Furthermore, it also indicates how committed distance degree students are to obtaining a quality education.
Many students may elect to get a Bachelor Degree in Business and major in Accounting. Those who continue on to get a Master Degree in Accounting, however, will reap the greatest financial reward. Although professionals can practice as accountants without taking the CPA or other certification exam, they make significantly less than those who do become certified. The students who do become certified after getting their Master’s Degree in Accounting earn, on average, $15,000 more annually than those who do not.
If you have already earned a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, you may have already landed a decent job and are already achieving many of your career goals. Enrolling in an accounting degree graduate program online will only increase your ability to fulfill your dreams. After all, with online accounting schools achieving the top ten list of universities whose students pass the CPA exam, you have nothing at all to lose!

Considering an Online Psychology Degree?
Have you always wondered what makes people think the way they do? Were you always fascinated by explanations people offer about their behavior or beliefs? Before you completely rule out the possibility of learning more about people’s minds, consider getting an online psychology degree.

Despite this, however, many people find that psychology courses can be very helpful in other careers, such as nursing, business management, or human resource management. For example, if you decide to earn your business degree, you may want to consider a two-year distance learning psychology degree to enhance your skills in working with and managing people.
Perhaps you already have an undergraduate degree in another field, such as education, and decide to become a guidance counselor. Unless you have unlimited financial resources, you may need to teach while working your way through a graduate degree program. A distance education graduate program is an excellent alternative to brick and mortar classrooms for busy working professionals.
If you are a psychology professional working as a guidance counselor or psychotherapist, you may already know about the advantages of advanced degrees. Taking a PhD program online can offer you the satisfaction of knowing that your degree offers you the greatest professional potential in terms of career choices!
If you find yourself curious about what makes people tick, an online psychology degree may be the perfect choice for you. Choosing an online college degree program offers you added benefits of flexibility, convenience, and control that traditional programs just can’t match.
